Is TENS safe for daily use?
Yes - when used as directed. The 15-minute auto-shutoff is calibrated to the clinical protocol used by physical therapists. TENS is contraindicated if you have a pacemaker, are pregnant, or have epilepsy. Consult your physician if unsure.
How does it feel? Does it hurt?
At low intensities (1-2), TENS feels like a gentle tingling. At medium (3-4), it feels like a deep muscle massage. At high (5-6), it feels like a strong but tolerable contraction. Most users find their sweet spot at level 3 or 4. Heat is always comfortable - 107°F is below the pain threshold and feels like a warm towel.
Can I wear it while working?
Yes. At 92g and under 35 dB, it's designed for hands-free use during video calls, flights, or focused work. The U-shape rests on the trapezius without straps. You can turn your head, type, and talk normally.
How often should I replace the hydrogel pads?
Replacement pads last 50-60 sessions depending on skin oil and storage. Wipe the pad surface with a damp cloth after each use, replace the plastic film, and store in the case. Replacement 2-packs are $15 on this store.

Is it FDA-cleared?
Yes. TECHNECK is registered with the FDA as a Class II TENS device (510(k) cleared). The registration number is printed on the back of the device and on the warranty card. Infrared heat is regulated separately under the FDA's general wellness provisions.
Will it fit my neck?
TECHNECK is one-size-fits-most, designed for neck circumferences between 12" and 18" (30-46 cm). The silicone arms flex to conform to your cervical curve. If you fall outside this range, contact us - we're developing an XL variant for 2026.
